Joe O'Connor has extensive successful experience in all facets of hospitality management. Joe is a 38-year veteran of the hospitality industry and is a well-respected executive in the field. Enthusiastic sales professional experience as a sales manager in food and beverage, he is skilled at developing the right action plan for each of his hotel’s unique needs and is committed to helping them choose the best solutions to accomplish their goals.
With 35 years of expertise in HR and operations, Joe is a results-focused leader who delivers talent acquisition, retention and motivational solutions to help companies harness the full power of their most valuable assets--their people. He is dedicated to creating a robust corporate culture that promotes continued growth and cultivates customer loyalty by empowering and inspiring employees to realize their full potential and bring their best to the job.
Joe specializes in the turnaround of underperforming operations. He has a proven history of structuring and implementing training and inventory control systems, leading to lower operating costs, as well as developing policies to recruit and retain employees. Joe’s affiliations are with Marriott, Hilton, Wyndham, La Quinta, Best Western, IHG and Choice.
In his spare time, Joe enjoys exercising, hiking and camping. Joe volunteers with the City of New Orleans disaster preparedness Nola Ready department and volunteers teaching hospitality, etiquette, manners, and prayer classes to Pre-Kindergarten up through High school aged local students.
